In 1887 the Empress made her last visit to
England
. On this occasion she did not rent the home of a local member of the nobility but stayed at Tucker's Hotel - a hotel on the seafront in Cromer, which is on the east coast of
England
, in the
county
of
Norfolk
.
Cromer had become a fashionable resort where the air would have suited the Empress for the long vigorous walks which she regularly took. She stayed for two months and this became her final visit to
Britain
. She was now fifty years old and her hunting days were over but not the incessant travelling, which would continue all her life.
