How you can help the BCS

Let the Society know what skills you have that might be of use:

    • from cataloguing archives to driving a JCB,
    • from drawing maps to analysing soil samples
    • from filling envelopes to running the stall.

There is always a need for people with time and energy to devote to:

    • thinking up and implementing fund-raising schemes;
    • organising events;
    • maintaining the archives;
    • updating the canal survey;
    • developing the stall, the slide-show and other presentational resources;
    • organising the annual BCS boat rally and waterside event at Cosgrove;
    • helping with clearance work (members only, for insurance reasons!).

Work Parties

There are regular Thursday and Sunday Work Parties clearing the line of the canal. The latest schedule can be found under "Dates for Your Diary" in the current edition of "The Buckingham Navigator" - see below.

For insurance reasons, Work Parties are open only to BCS Members.
