Crick Boat Show

After taking all the BCS stand materials on the roof of "Westmead" to the show, Diana and I thought we would have to close the BCS stand through lack of volunteers but thanks to offers of help from Chris Symonds, Pam Forrest & Vasty, Mandy Morley, Glen Peckett, Son-in-Law David Calvert, Granddaughter Helen Calvert and Diana we managed to complete a rota.

David and Helen had spent the time on the journey up from Sussex testing each other's knowledge on the history of the BC from the notes we had sent them.

When Helen saw Pam's dog complete with life jacket at the stand there was no way she was not going to help, the cheeky pair were even asking for donations to the BCS for stroking the dog and raised over three pounds that way. Around twenty-five pounds was raised with other sales and, as importantly I think, we managed to raise awareness of the BCS and gain new members.
