Moving On

Unfortunately for the Society, Chris Symonds is moving away from Milton Keynes to Kent so will be unable to continue on the BCS Committee, although he will still remain a member.

We would all like to thank him for his past efforts on Committee and assistance with the boat Rally Organisation and wish him well for the future. We would still like to see you at social events, Chris, if you are in the area.

Committee Membership

With Chris moving, we are as always short of Committee members. In particular we are looking for help with the following:

  • Marketing and Publicfty.
  • Secretary or secretary's assistant.
  • And of course we always need help to organise the Boat Rally.

Is there anyone out there who can help in any way, as much or as little as you can manage will make a huge difference to the work load of those left, ff you can help please contact Bill Upton ons 01908 617317.

Congratulations

Pam Forrest a regular helper at BCS displays was a winner in the Canalboat and Inland Waterways magazine and Waterways Trust design competition. Pam took class winners place in the "up to 57ft" for her futuristic design "Torpedo" on which were idea's such as retractable walls and roof around the fore-deck together with "Comficubes", hollow interlocking cubes with cushion tops deployed as beds & chairs etc. It's worth getting the July issue to get full details. Well done Pam, we liked both entries.
