CASTLETHORPE v. HARTWELL.

On Saturday last these teams played the return match at Castlethorpe. During the first half the play was very fast, the home team showing some splendid form. Soon after play commenced Bavington scored for Castlethorpe, after which Sparks (Hartwell) scored from a mis-kick. At half time the score was one goal each. The second half started well, but about ten minutes before time a penalty was given against Hartwell. Smith taking the kick, scored with it, which led to a dispute by the visitors. Some time was taken up in arguing, after which Hartwell declared, and left the field, leaving the score at 2-1 in favour of Castlethorpe. A pick of the home team could hardly be made, as each one played a magnificent game. They thoroughly deserved their win, considering the visitors had obtained some good help. Mr. R. Mills, who was referee, acted in a very able manner. Next week Castlethorpe play Hanslope.
