1918 Jul 16 The clerk wished to be relieved of his duties. H. Mapley act as clerk to the Council.
1919 Apr 15 Mr. H. Mapley be appointed clerk to the Council for the next twelve months. The clerk to receive the sum of £5 per annum.
1920 Apr 20 H. Mapley be appointed Clerk to the Council subject to three months notice on either side.

1922 Jul 03 Statement re position of Clerk by Mr W.T. Clarke. Clerk asked by the chairman to retire from the room.
Resolved - Proposed by Mr W.D. Markham seconded by Mr W.T. Clarke That the Clerk be asked to resign his position to the Council. The Clerk tendered his resignation forthwith.
1922 Sep 25 The Chairman reported having received but one application for the position of Clerk.
Pro. Miss E. M. Rainbow be appointed Clerk to the Council commencing on Oct 1st 1922. The salary be £6 per annum.
1924 Sep 04 The clerk's resignation be accepted with regret, and also that the best thanks be given to her for her past services, and they would also accept the offer of her continuing her services until the vacancy was filled.

1926 Oct 22 The clerk wished to resign clerkship on account of his new residing permanently at Blisworth. At the Councils request he however agreed to continue the duties for the present.
1928 Apr 20 Mr A. Masterman was appointed clerk.
1929 Sep 17 Clerk's Bond. It was proposed that the Clerk should find guarantee bond for the sum of Fifty Pounds, the premium being paid for by the Parish should find guarantee bond for the sum of Fifty Pounds, the premium being paid for by the Parish.
Clerk's Salary - Six pounds five shillings per annum.
1932 Apr 18 The Chairman stated he had received a notification form the Clerk (Mr Masterman) owing to him leaving the district. He was very sorry the Council was losing such a good officer who had given the Council such great satisfaction in all the duties he had to perform & strict and careful attention to all Council matters. The Clerk was then instructed to post up several notices in the village for the vacant position. Application for the office to be made before Monday Apl. 25th to the Chairman.
1932 Apr 25 The Chairman states he had received three applications for the position of Clerk. Messrs R.W. West, J.H. Nicholls & E.C. Bates. It was decided to appoint Mr E.C. Bates. Mr Bates duties would commence Monday May 2nd & to attend a Council Meeting on that date at 7.30 p.m. His yearly salary to be Six pounds five shillings.
1933 July 25 A letter from the clerk stating that owing to lack of time he wished to resign. This was accepted. It was agreed on the proposition of Mr Panter seconded Mr Limbrey that Mr Ronald West is appointed Clerk as from August 1st 1933 at a salary of £6-5-0 per annum.
