Ale-Houses Keepers The Carrington Arms formerly the Peahen Inn The site of the King's Arms which had also been the village bakery. Joseph Smith was living here with his family at the time of the fire in 1905. It probably stopped being an ale-house when Robert Varney took over the Carrington Arms some time in the late 1870s.
