Eighteen overs and five balls of accurate bowling, shared between Bert Garrett and J. Bavington, dismissed Castlethorpe’s visitors from Cowley St. John’s for 47 runs on Saturday. The two bowlers equally shared eight wickets, and two of the visitors were run out.

Castlethorpe found difficulty in scoring when they batted, and lost seven wickets for 41, but a solid knock by John Cooper saw them through to a nine run win. Scores:
