CASTLETHORPE v. NEWPORT PAGNELL 2ND. XI
Playing at home on Saturday Newport Pagnell second team experienced little difficulty in defeating Castlethorpe. Batting first on a perfect wicket they ran up a total of 88, of which J. Macguire scored 34 in attractive style. His hits included a 4, two 3's and four 2's Pickering was the most successful Castlethorpe bowler. On occupying the wickets the villagers were sent back with a score of 26 only, seven of the side dismissed for "ducks." A. Flute took 5 wickets for 5 runs and J. Stanton 5 for 13. Batting again Castlethorpe made 40 for the loss of six batsmen. Scores:
