STOKE GOLDINGTON v. CASTLETHORPE

The newly formed Stoke Goldington Cricket Club opened the season with a match with Castlethorpe on Saturday week and were successful by 66 runs. Their captain, J. G. B. Whiting was the chief scorer with 58 to his credit, which included six 4's. Castlethorpe were dismissed for 38. F. Botterill taking 6 wickets for 21, and C. Chapman 3 for 10. Scores:

CASTLETHORPE V. STOKE GOLDINGTON

The return match was played at Castlethorpe on Saturday last and again Stoke were successful, winning by 9 runs. The homesters were dismissed for 36, J. Whiting taking six wickets for three runs. J. Kerridge was the only batsman to show any resistance, Stoke replied with 45, and 26 of that total was put together by F. Whiting.
