at the Quarries Camp Site

This annual event between Teams of 3 Cub Scouts and 3 Scouts from the North and South Milton Keynes District is to test their team work as they carry out certain tasks during the day.

The Group Scout Leader, Ken Reynolds was the co-ordinator of our team and we all wished them well in this year’s competition having won the 1990 event.

The tasks consisted of setting up a campsite, cooking a meal, gadget making and constructing a portable catapult. Whilst the teams were engaged in the activities the judges observed and marked the efforts taking special note of the team’s ability to work together on each stage of the programme.

Having started at 9.0am. and returning at 4.0pm. our team found themselves in 6th position but no doubt having learnt many new things about Scouting.
