First Hanslope cub scout group - sports day 1982Sports double for cubs

There's a wealth of sporting talent in the First Hanslope cub scout group.
They have won the Milton Keyne North District Sports sheild for the second year running!

The Hanslope team of ten, pictured left, fought hard for the sheild which they now retain for another year. The cubs just clinched the top slot from Haversham cub scouts by two points.

Back row left to right, Alan Payne (Akela), Paul Cooper, James Owen, John Boss, Jonathan Jones and Robin Coles, assistant.
Front row, left to right, Steven Thornton, Bret Coles, Andrew Crewcock and Robert Hart.

Milton Keynes North District Cub Scouts Sports
At Bushfield School, Wolverton

Although only 10 Cub Scouts made up our team we once again gave such a good performance that we retained the Shield for the second year running. Parents helped with the transport and the team organised by Akela, Baloo and Steve. All the cub scouts gave everything in their events picking up points in the heats and finals to such an extent that we led the other Packs virtually all afternoon, winning with 52 points and the Haversham Pack coming 2nd with 50 points.
