Group Camp Fire at Quarries
The Troop camped during this weekend at the Quarries and it was decided by the Scout Leaders to organise a Group Camp Fire on the Saturday evening for Cub Scouts, Scouts and Parents.
The Pack and Parents met at the Headquarters at 7:00 p.m. for a 7:30 Camp Fire. After the audience was settled around the Camp Fire in the Bowl, Mr. Brian Gilkes opened the proceedings. Many songs and rounds were enjoyed by the company with Mr. Gilkes leading and encouraging.
During the evening the Cub Scouts performed two campfire stunts and two songs and each Scout patrol acted out one stunt each.
Mr. Gilkes closed a really enjoyable Camp Fire and the whole party then retired for Hot Soup provided by John Waldron Assistant Scout Leader.
Parents and Cub Scouts then departed after giving their thanks to Mr. Gilkes and the Scout Troop for an excellent scouting evening among our friends.
