A Visit to the Two Mile Ash and Great Holm Viking Pack

The Pack assembled at the H. Q. at the normal time to collect subs and to carry out the weekly inspection. We then enjoyed a fast and furious game of Square Football before departing at 6.30 to journey to Two Mile Ash.

We arrived at the appropriate school, thanks to the few who are familiar with the geography of Milton Keynes, at 6.50 p.m. Having been warmly welcomed by our hosts our Pack was divided amongst the four Viking Packs Sixes where upon two hectic games ensued.

Whilst each Six in turn left the hall to identify 6 knots and explain their uses, the remaining 3 Sixes played a strength sapping game of Pulling the Rope Ring. To allow for strength to return a quiet game of Murderers and Detectives followed which was a great success when the Murderers found out the difference between blinking and winking.

We then enjoyed a few Camp Fire Songs and two Camp Fire Stunts performed by 3 of our Cub Scouts during which hot-dogs were served and consumed.

After Grand Howl and Flag Down we bade our Scouting friends a fond farewell with many thanks for a most enjoyable visit to their Pack Night.

We arrived back at the H. Q. at 8.45 p.m. despite some hitches in the transport arrangements.
