The Bucks Standard, October 17th 1925
Castlethorpe mainained thier unbeaten League record last Saturday. They had the ironworkers of Deanshanger as opposition and they gave them a very hard game. Castlethorpe, however were a little superior, being quicker in making use of openings, whilst their front line combined splendidly. They won 3-2, and probably the margin agaainst Deanshanger would have been heavier but for the excellent play of the backs and goalkeeper. Castlethorpe have now played four League matches and won all of them and are at the top of the table with eight points.
