SCHOOL BOARD. - The managers of the National
School having failed to supply the requisite
accommodation in their school, the Education
Department has given orders for a School Board,
consisiting of five members, to be formed. The
election will take place in early December

School Board Election. - On Thursday last the
election for members on this Board took place, with
the following result:- Messrs. Charles Whiting 92,
George Rainbow 71, Charles Jones 71, Edward
Richardson 61, and William Manning 55. There
were six candidates, the sixth being Mr. Joseph
Pike, who obtained 53 two only behind Mr. Manning.
