Juniors mixed. The class are given a really well prepared lesson particularly conspicuous because of interesting and well taught group work. The use of 6 team activities was very good.
The country dancing of the class showed signs of promise and the Hurly - Burly and team passing games were well played by the children.
Report of H.M.I. Inspected on April 27th 1938
The work in this very attractive and efficient little school bears all the marks of careful planning and direction, and of sound and enlightened teaching. The general bearing of the children, their industry, and their intelligent interest in all aspects of their school life are very pleasant to see. While the elementary subjects will bear close scrutiny at all points, the written exercises in English and Arithmetic are outstanding in their neatness and accuracy. Nor does the oral work or the range of expressional and recreative activities suffer in any way by comparison.
The infants are very pleasantly by their new Teacher and their work makes good progress. These children formerly occupied a room which, though sunny, was small and had a gallery with fixed desks. Their present room, though spacious and more suitably furnished, is sunless. It would have been better to enlarge and adapt their former room by removing the partition and gallery even though this would have entailed some rearrangement of the heating apparatus. The premises generally, however, though not modern, are roomy and pleasant, and are maintained in excellent order.
