School opened today. Miss Eakins will be absent this week on Christmas leave.
   
Jan 3rd Mr Richardson visited school this morning.
   
Jan 8th Miss Eakins returned this morning and took charge as I shall be absent this week on Christmas leave.
Mr Hudson visited school this afternoon and saw the Physical Training.
   
Jan 31st The Practice test for the Scholarship Examination was taken this morning.
   
Feb 1st Miss Eakins is absent today.
The Doctor visited school this morning for a routine examination of the eight year olds.
Afternoon school from today finishes at 4.pm.
   
Feb 6th Half-holiday today. Shrove Tuesday.
   
Feb 9th Preliminary Test for Scholarship Examination was held this morning.
   
Feb 12th Mr Green visited school this afternoon and signed the register.
   
Feb 13th Nurse visited school this afternoon and examined all the children present.
   
Feb 16th Mr Hiffe H.M.I. visited school this morning.
   
Feb 22nd Miss Jex visited school this afternoon and saw the needlework and handwork.
   
Feb 23rd Mr Richardson visited school this morning.
   
Mar 15th Secondary School Examination this morning. School closed this afternoon.
   
Mar 20th School closed today for Easter holidays.
   
April 2nd School opened this morning.
   
April 11th Nurse visited school this afternoon and reported everyone clean.
   
April 17th Mrs Allen visited school this morning and signed the registers.
   
May 10th This afternoon I received a telephone message from Aylesbury directing all schools to remain open for the Whitsun Holiday. Monday May 13th will therefore not be a holiday.
   
May 22nd The Doctor visited school this morning and examined all the children born in 1934.
   
May 29th The Dentist visited school for routine inspection of all the children.
   
June 10th The Dentist visited school today and thirteen children received treatment.
   
June 12th I received notice this morning from the Education Office that school is to close this afternoon until further notice.
   
June 17th School reopened this morning. Acting upon instructions received in Circular 483/1940 Registers will not be marked this week. Normal work will continue each morning, but during the afternoon session extra time will be devoted to gardening, games and nature rambles.
   
June 19th The School Dentist completed the necessary dental treatment this afternoon.
   
June 24th Registers marked from today and normal work resumed.
   
July 16th Alfred Collyer and Betty Gray have both gained scholarships to attend Wolverton Secondary School. Joy Hall and Patricia Petty have also obtained positions on the Place List.
   
Aug 1st I shall be absent from school today as my mother has dislocated her shoulder.
   
Aug 2nd School closed for a fortnight's holiday.
   
Aug 19th School re-opened this morning.
   
Aug 30th Half-holiday this afternoon.
   
Sept 16th Registers were not marked today. 16 children evacuated from London were admitted.
   
Sept 17th Registers were marked to-day and normal work resumed.
   
Sept 25th Ten boys were admitted today from Leyton.
   
Sept 27th School closed for one week's holiday.
   
Oct 7th School re-opened this morning.
   
Oct 18th Mr Hudson visited school this afternoon and saw the Physical Training.
   
Oct 25th Nurse visited school this morning and examined all the children present.
   
Oct 31st Registers were not marked this afternoon as the Air Raid Warning lasted from 1.pm until 3 15pm.
   
Nov 4th I have admitted 21 Seniors from Wolverton. This has necessitated the removal from the registers of all children under five years.
   
Nov 5th Nurse visited school this afternoon and examined the absentees of her previous visit.
   
Nov 7th School will be closed to-morrow Friday Nov 8th and Monday Nov 11th for Half-term holiday.
   
Nov 12th School re-opened this morning.
   
Nov 13th Mr Hiffe H.M.I. visited school this morning.
   
Nov 18th Circular 709 / 1940 states that morning school begins from today, at 9 30 am. The afternoon session begins at 1.30pm and ends at 3 40pm.
   
Dec 3rd I have today reported to the School Medical Officer a case of scarlet fever.
   
Dec 4th Mrs Cook, the newly appointed Lady-Manager, and Mr Richardson visited school this afternoon.
   
Dec 18th School closed today for Christmas holidays.
