In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Salmon of Castlethorpe in the County of Bucks Yeoman being weak and infirm of Body but of sound and perfect Mind and Memory Tanks be given to Almighty God for the same calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and being willing to settle my worldly Affairs before I depart the same Do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament as ffolloweth (that is to say) ffirst and principally I Commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God who gave it me hopeing that the Death Passion Merit Mediation and Intercession of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ to receive ffree pardon and ffull Redemption of all my sins And my body to the Earth to be decently and in Christian like manner interred therein at the discretion of my Executor herein hereafter mentioned and named And as for such Worldly Goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I give and devise the same in Manner following Imprimis I give and devise unto my loving Grandson John Ambledine of Castlethrup in the County aforesaid all that house or Tenement I now Dwell in Situate and Standing and being in Castlethrup aforesaid together with all Yarns Stables outhouses Yards and Backsides Commons profits and Commodities whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wayes appertaining To have and to hold the said house premises to him the said John Ambledine and his heirs forever Item I give and devise to my Loving Grandson John Ambledine all that my house or tenement now in the Tenure or Occupation of my son in Law Robert Shreeve Situate Standing and being in Castlethrup aforesaid Together with all Yards Barns Stables backsides outhouses and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or anywayes appertaining To have and to hold the same to my said Grandson his heirs and Assigns for ever On Condition nevertheless that my Grandson shall permit and Suffer my Loving wife Jane Salmon To have hold use Occupy possess and enjoy the same with the appurtenances in the first place for and during her naturall life And also shall and will permit & Suffer my said wife to have and enjoy to her use and benefit all the stable belonging to the house I now dwell in with all quiet peaceable ingress egress and regress into out of and from the same for and During her Naturall life And also ffree Liberty of ingress egress and regress into out of and from the Orchard belonging to ye House I now dwell in either to hang dry cloths or other Necessary affairs as her occasions shall require at all Seasonable times for and during her Naturall life Item I give to my wife the sume of ffive pounds of Good and Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor herein hereafter mentioned Named And also halfe the fruits of all sorts which shall grow and be in the Orchard belonging to the house I now dwell in yearly and every year for and during her Naturall life Item I give and devise unto my Loving [wife] missing with other ffurniture hereunto belonging which missing [h]ouse at the time of my Death at her Choice and Election missing all such and so many Household goods and Necessary as the house or Tenement [I] have before given her shall need require to be handsomely ffurnished therewith in Moderate way at her Choice and Election Item I Give unto my Grandaughter Mary Ambledine the sume of Ten pounds of Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to her by my Executor at ye Expiration of one year after my Decease Item I make and ordain my said Grandson John Ambledine of Castlethrup aforesaid Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seale the second Day of September Anno Domini 1719.
