William Swannell 1823

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Swannell of Castlethorpe in the county of Buckingham Maltster being of sound memory and understanding First I will order and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be fully paid and satisfied And I give and devise all and every my messuages cottages close lands tenements hereditaments and real estate what so ever unto my wife Mary Swannell her heirs and assigns for ever and also I give and bequeath all and singular my live and dead stock Household goods furniture plate linen china monies securities for money Book debts Chattels effects and all other my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and whatever kind the same may be unto my said wife Mary Swannell her executors and administrators to and for her own use and benefit subject nevertheless and I do hereby charge subject and make chargeable my said real and personal estate to and with the payment of the legacy or sum of nineteen pounds to my brother Joseph Swannell to be paid and payable to him immediately after my decease to whom I give and bequeath the same accordingly and also to and with the payment of the legacy or sum of nineteen pounds to Mary Nichols of Castlethorpe aforesaid widow to be paid and payable to her immediately after my decease to whom I give and bequeath the same accordingly And I do hereby further charge subject and make chargeable my said real and personal estate to and with the payment of the sum of two shillings in each and every week unto my said brother Joseph Swannell and his assigns for and during the term of his natural life to be paid and payable to him on the Monday in every week the first payment of the said weekly sum of two shillings to commence and be made on the first Monday that shall next happen after my decease And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Mary Swannell and John Naseby of Castlethorpe aforesaid Lace Merchant Executrix and Executor of this my will hereby revoking and making void all forever and other wills and Testamentary instruments by me at anytime heretofore made and do declare this and this alone to be and contain my true and last will and Testament In Witness where of I the said William Swannell the testator Prove this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper set unto my hand and seal to each sheet thereof this ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three-
