The Britannia Ironworks Deanshanger Archiving the history of Deanshanger

The capel fan prototype is believed to have been built in Deanshanger.Designed by the Rev. Capel of Passenham it is recognised as being one of the most significant contributors to deep mine safety in mining history. Much of Milton Keynes Museum collection was manufactured in Deanshanger.

planning aplication has been submitted for the demolition of the last remaining building associated with the 160 year history of the "Britannia Iron works" Deanshanger.

This building is the last one associated with the great British engineers E&H Roberts of the period 1846 to 1926.
