Albert Fishing
Albert Roberts fishing in "The Grand Junction Canal" to the West of Deanshanger also known as the Buckingham arm of the Grand Union Canal. In its heyday the canal served Deanshanger with roof slates, coal and heavy goods. The industrial iron foundry "The Brittania Ironworks" owned by E&H Roberts, Alberts nephews, freighted there goods to all parts of the Empire from the Village of Deanshanger. These included all types of farm equipment, ploughs, carts, wind turbines, mine safety fans and a multitude of different castings. You won't find Pike like these in the canal these days.
