Mr Lewis Roberts standing at the "Grand Junction" canal lift bridge where Shrob Lane crosses the canal halfway between Old Stratford and Deanshanger. With the demise of the canal in the 1960's all these features have now gone although a small brick bridge is still in place where the canal used to pass through near the free range chicken farm.
