Picture shows The Deanshanger Cricket Team of estimated date between 1900 and 1910. Cricket had a very strong following in Deanshanger. During the 1930's the Cricket Team played a 24hr game on the "Cricket Field Village Green" to establish villagers rights as a Village Green. The Green was registered under the registration act of 1965 and is where the fairground usually sets up next to Kingsbrook school these days.
