On researching my family history I found an ancestor Shadrack garmston who was Vicar of Hanslope from 1714 to his death in 1741. He is buried in the Chancel along with his wife Elizabeth, and son, the Rev Landon Garmston.

The purpose of this post is to say that I have managed to obtain copies of two sermons he preached whilst at Hanslope. If any reader finds they have an ancestor who may well have been baptised/married/buried by Shadrack and who would like copies in PDF format to help "flesh out" what he was like please contact me. My heart goes out to Shadrack who buried eight of his children inc two sets of twins, Elizabeth and Mary, born on December 17th 1734, Elizabeth was buried on December 22nd Mary on Jan 5th (some Christmas!) and Thomas and John born April 4th 1737, and who were both buried on the 8th, in fact all but one child seems only to have survived for more than a few days.
