Hi I am tracing my family history on my Dads side my family name is Panter and I have traced my family back to buckinghamshire as far back as 1578, at first I thought the family originated from the near by village of Castle Thorpe but now think it may have been the Village of Hanslope with the family following the railway stretching out into nearby villages including Wolverton where they then spread as far afield as Portsmouth, Brighton and then out of the country.
I visited Hanslope in August of last year finding lots of information visiting the Church of St James. Even found some of my ancestors cottages. I have lots of dead ends wrong turns and mistakes in my tree which I would like help with. I have traced my Great Grand Parents (x10) John Panter (1578) and Judith Barker they married and lived in Hanslope as did most of their family. If there is anyone who has more infomation on the Panter Family where they lived, occupation etc I would love to hear about it Thank you
