Hi I am interested to hear from anyone who has a William Dixon in their family. William was born in Hanslope in 1817 (the son of Henry and Elizabeth who subsequently married a Thomas Denton )and married Louisa Smith there in 1843,he was still living there in the 1851,1861 and 1871 censuses,he died on 10 March 1879 in Hanslope.
Louisa was born in 1823 and died in 1892.
They had the following children
Ann born 1844 married John Linein 1865 in Hanslope
Henry 1846,married Phoebe Bull in 1872 in Newport Pagnell
Mary 1852, married Joseph Swannell in 1880 in Newport Pagnell
Charlotte 1854,married John Joiner in 1879 in Marylebone
Julia 1857
Charles 1862,married Mary Barker in 1882 in West Ham
Emma 1867
My wife is descended from Charles who emigrated to New Zealand in the 1880's
