Activity at the Greek School of the Community
Our school is currently located within Lord Grey School, Rickley Lane, Bletchley. It is held every Thursday evening during term times from 17.00 to 20.30. Qualified teachers are provided by the Education Ministries of Greece and Cyprus through their representative offices in London. It provides education in the Greek language and culture to pupils aged 5 to 18 years and to adults who are members of, are connected to our Community or have links with Greece and/or Cyprus.

We have a close working relationship/co-operation with teachers, pupils and parents.


The Programme is:

Every Thursday 17.00-2030 with the following exceptions

Sunday 29th January In the Church at about 13.30 “Festivities for the Patrons of the Greek Letters/Cutting of the Vassilopita” A very important day for the Greek Letters. Our Head Teacher, Mr Nicos Kouranchanis, will speak on the subject and all of us are expected to be present.

Thursday 16th February Half term - no school

Thursday 23rd February Carnival party in the school canteen at about 18.30. Children and adults please attend in “fancy dress” which is part of the tradition.

Sunday 26th March In the Church Vestry at about 14.00 “National Independence Day Celebration, 25th March”/1st April. All three teachers will be present.

Thursday 13th April No school, UK Easter holiday

Thursday 20th April No school, Easter holiday

Thursday 1st June Half term - no school

Thursday 6th July Last day of school.
