In the name of God Amen I Mary Kightley of Linford parva in the County of Bucks widow being sick and diseased in body but of sound and perfect memory (praised be God for it) do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say ffirst I bequeath my soul to God which gave it hopeing through the merits of Jesus Christ my Saviour to have it eternally saved in the Kingdom of Heaven. Secondly my body to the Earth from whence it was to be buried in the Churchyard of Haversham in decent manner according to the discretion of my Executor, And as for my estate that God hath bestowed upon me I dispose of as followeth (vizt) I give and bequeath to my father John Miles twenty four pounds for the bringing up of my son ffrancis. Item I give and bequeath to my son ffrancis twenty four pounds to be paid to him by my Executor at the age of twenty one years my father haveing the Interest of it till the time be expired. Item I give and bequeath to my son ffrancis one trunk one porridge pott three platters six plates one kettle four porringers and in case my son ffrancis dies before the twenty one years be expired I dispose of the twenty four pounds given to my son as followeth ffirst I give to my father John Miles Six pounds. Item I give to my mother Constance Six pounds Item I give to my brother James Miles Six pound Item I give to my brother William Roberts his daughter Elizabeth three pounds and to his daughter Mary Roberts three pounds and for the other things given and bequeathed to my son ffrancis if he dy before the time of twenty one years be expired I give to my father John Miles and I do give and bequeath to him all my other goods and wearing apparel, And lastly I do give and bequeath and do appoint John Miles my father to be sole Executor of this my last will and Testament In Wittness whereof I have Sett to my hand the fifth day of June in the year of our Lord God 1696.
