Names mentioned in Hanslope Family History Database
Over the past three years Hanslope & District Historical Society has been developing its Family History Database, with entries from Census Data, Church Records, and - in the next version - transcriptions of Wills. There are now over 20,000 names within the database.

Every effort has been made to make the searches as efficient as possible and the results as detailed as possible, and the Society has had a number of complimentary e-mails from grateful users.

However, it has come to the Society's attention that researchers from around the world would first have to know of the existence of the database before they could search for names and details. As all the information is within a database, it is invisible to Search Engines like Google. This section of the site has been developed to rectify the problem and to ensure that if anyone enters a name such as "William Stimson" into Google, then the entry on one of these pages is likely to be found, along with a link to the on-line database.

The lists linked to the menu on the left contain an alphabetical index of all the individual names on the database, together with the years the name was first mentioned and last mentioned.

Note that the lists include known variations and mis-spellings of names, eg the name Kitelee also appears as Kitely, Kittlee, and Kytly, to cite a few of the variations. The Index is for data currently available on-line and does not include Castlethorpe or Stoke Goldington. At present, the database goes from 1732 to 1929. The next major update is due in Autumn 2005, and will include records back to 1571.
