1. Green Manor

Green Manor used to be a pub called the Green Man, but changed its name when it became a private house. Its appearance has changed since the late 1950s, as the two photographs show.

At one time there were seven public houses as well as the Working Men's Club in the village, but four of the pubs have long closed

Green Manor is in the Market Square. Any town or village had to have a charter to permit it to hold a market, so possession of a market square reflects the significance of Hanslope over the centuries.
