13. The Old Surgery

When people visited the old Doctor's Surgery they used to sit on a bench to wait their turn. If the waiting room became too full, people would have to wait outside.

"When I came here the doctor was Doctor Cooper and he lived at 1 Castlethorpe Road, the big white house, and that was the surgery (opposite where the new surgery is now) as well as his home. There was room for about 6 or 8 inside. The medicines were made up by the Doctor. In the waiting room were all big bottles of coloured liquids."

The trail continues along Castlethorpe Road and turns right opposite the Watts Arms into the High Street
.
