Heritage Open Days

7th - 10th September 2006

Milton Keynes

Free admission, tours, events and activities for all the family

Explore your local history and heritage.

It is not easy to define what heritage is, as it means different things to different people.

For some it is historic buildings and places, architectural gems both modern and old, and for others it may be social history, customs, traditions, memories, religion, music or family stories.

Milton Keynes is a unique place where new city combines with old towns and villages, and where heritage hides around every corner just waiting to be discovered. People also come from all across the world to live and work in Milton Keynes and bring their heritage with them, and this is equally important to a modern city.

Heritage is about what people value and what is important to them, and the Heritage Open Days event is a great way for people to acknowledge, understand more widely and celebrate all aspects of England's heritage.

Children and families, look for the handprints! All properties and events which offer special activities for our younger audience are marked with a handprint next to their listing.
