North Camp Aldershot
Dear May
I hope you are getting on all right now. I hope your quinsy and bad throat are better now. I hope it soon got better after it broke. It must have been very bad to have Dr Miles and a Nurse to see you. Troubles always seem to come all at once, but we must make the best of them. Well, our battalion starts its Christmas leave next Thursday. I shall very likely come home next Thursday, for at least 4 days, but I cannot say for absolute certainty. Of course, I shall send you all particulars before Thursday.
I hope Dad, Aunt, Will and George are all quite well, as I am quite well. Well cheer up and goodbye until next Thursday.
From your ever loving Brother Albert x x x
