19. Wolverton Road
Wolverton Road 2003
The main road heads off east to Wolverton at a point where London Road meets the High Street. In the days of the tram this was one of the most photographed spots in Stony Stratford, being the main terminus for the tram service.

The Foresters Arms on the left-hand side is one of the traditional inns of Stony Stratford, having survived longer than many of its contemporaries.

Wolverton Road early 1900s
Around 100 years ago and several lifetimes away, people stood and queued for the tram, and the only marks on the road were cart tracks and tram tracks. Scenes like this are a poignant reminder of an age when life was lived at a gentler pace.
