| Welcome to a brief tour of the ancient market town of Stony Stratford. Other sections of this site deal in more detail with the history of the town, some of its key points of interest, and some of the things which have brought it national prominence.
This section does not claim to be an exhaustive guide to the town. These tour pages are intended to give you a feel for the atmosphere of a town which for countless thousands through the ages has served as a stopover, a market town and a dwelling place. Wherever possible, we have tried to use archive photographs alongside current photos taken from the same viewpoint.
