Accessibility
Wheelchair and pushchair access by lift to the covered exercise yard and ground floor of the museum.
The first floor of the museum is only accessible by stairs.
Car Parking
Convenient parking can be found in the 'Waitrose' Car Park off the High Street in
Cornwalls Meadow. It is a short walk through Meadow Row to the Old Gaol.
Free on-street parking is also available, but is limited in daytime to 20 or 30 minutes.
There is a shopmobility service located in the car park, but please note it has limited opening hours.
Shopmobility is a scheme that allows anyone with a mobility problem, whether temporary or permanent,
to get out and about the town centre. Shopmobility Buckingham is situated in the car park and is
currently open on Market Days: Tuesday 9:30am to 3:30pm, Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm
Public Transport
Buckingham Old Gaol is a two-minute walk from the town centre bus stop served by:
32 Milton Keynes/Bletchley
60 Aylesbury/Winslow
X5 Cambridge/Bedford/Milton Keynes to Bicester and Oxford Stagecoach express.

Taxis
A taxi rank is located outside the front door.
Cycling
The Old Gaol is on the regional cycle route 70 from Winslow to Northamptonshire, and
connects with National Route 51. Cycle racks are located around the town.
Tourist Information Centre
The Old Gaol is home to the Tourist Information Centre and provides information
for Buckingham, Aylesbury Vale, Milton Keynes and surrounding counties and London.
