Police Constable 71 John Spall is fined three days pay (during the time he was suspended) and placed at the bottom of the list of 2nd Class Constables for being found drunk whilst on duty at Aylesbury at 1:30am on the morning of the 15th instant.

The Chief Constable regrets that 71 John Spall should have so far forgotten himself as to make the remarks he did to the Newport Bench of Magistrates, and also that he showed so much ill feeling towards Mr. Butt.
He must remember that prosecutions are not undertaken by the police to gratify any private feeling. The Constable must perform his duty impartially and not express his feelings either in or out of Court.
P.C. Spall is severely reprimanded he will remove at his own expense on the 4th July to Waddisdon there to be stationed.

Merit Class Police Constable 71 John Spall and 107 William Lawrence, having this day granted pensions of £48.10.8 and £45.2.8 respectively by the Standing Joint Committee to take effect on the 26th inst. will be struck off the strength of the force from that date inclusive
