No, not inside the church, I am afraid. It's kept locked since a

couple of burglaries relieved it of several pieces of valuable furniture.

There’s a comfortable seat at the end of the churchyard where we can look

across the signs of our mortality at the fine old 12th century church.

Look at the inscription on this stone.

"This world's a city full of crooked streets

Death is the market place where all men meet

If life were merchandise that man could buy

The rich would lie and the poor would die"


How did the old saying go? 'It's the same the whole world over'
