Jack Ivester Lloyd

About the author

Jack Ivester Lloyd is the son of a sporting artist. He went to sea at the age of fifteen, and did many other jobs whilst learning to write.

In the second World War, he joined the R.N.V.R. and became a Lieutenant-Commander. He was awarded the D.S.C. and mentioned in despatches. He was a keen naturalist, and an enthusiastic beagler.

He was a regular contributor to several leading country periodicals, and has written over twenty books.
