SHERINGTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Notes for the Committee Meeting Cancelled on 26th April 2004, 7-30 pm.

  1. Apologies from Mark Vale and Sheila Quinn.
  2. Notelets: Three were sold to members at the last general meeting and three have subsequently been sold in the shop.
  3. Booklets: Copies of two booklets were purchased on the 24th April from Bucks G.S. on Sherington, Posse Commitatus (Napoleonic Militia Men) and a copy of the Bucks GS quarterly magazine with a write up of our 1872 murder by James Sharpe.
  4. Lapsed Members: All members who have not paid their annual subs will be chased.
  5. Web-site: No further news on the web-site, waiting to be passed over to Ian Collinge.
  6. SHS Open Day: 26th June, volunteers will be required to man the tables etc. Enid would like to display her now completed wall hanging. Along with some other mementoes.

Next committee meeting provisionally booked for 17th May, with possibly a further one on the 14th June if necessary for arrangements for the 26th, of June.
