SHERINGTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY COMMITTEE MEETING
Tuesday 26th June 2007
Present: Mark Vale, Kay Tyrrell, Pearl Teasdale and Sheila Quinn .
Apologies: Caroline Leslie
The Committee decided that it would be more productive to hold the meeting in the office above the village hail as it would be possible to do some work towards the SHS display for the Sherington School Jubilee celebration on the 30th June.
Scarecrow Competition: During the evening the question of a trophy was raised. Kay obtained a brochure from Dearden Trophies in Newport Pagnell. Opinions were divided between a shield shaped trophy and an oblong one both have smaller shields for engraving with the winners names. Kay and Mark arranged to meet on Thursday, June to view both examples and make a decision.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, 31st July at Sheila’s, 24 School Lane
With thanks to Pearl for refreshments
