The Open Day was held on 30 September 2006 from 12 noon to 5pm in the Village Hall. A total of around 250 people were estimated to have visited during the day. The exact number was not counted, but at 3pm approximately 60 were in the Hall.
All the Society's archives were on display, together with a large number of paintings by local artists.
Many thanks to the small group of loyal Society members who gave up their time to organise, set up and dismantle the exhibition, and also to the villagers who loaned the artwork, which resulted in such a successful day.
Apart from the general views of the exhibits, society members and visitors on this page, there are photos of many of the individual items on display (including 179 photos of works of art) on the following pages:
Apologies for the quality of some of the photos of the paintings. Reflections of the hall lights and windows made photography very difficult.
