Recreation Field

In February 1930 because of the amount of traffic (sic) on the roads and near the Village Green it was felt that a Recreation Ground was necessary for the safety of the children of the village and it was decided that a look out should be kept for a suitable site. By April 1931 the Council felt that there was no suitable land available but Messrs Hine and Goodman were to form a committee to keep the matter under review. They reported back in September that nothing suitable was indeed available.
