IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY DEAR HUSBAND, WILLIAM FIDLER,
AGED 78 YEARS, FAITHFUL AND BELOVED PASTOR OF
THE BAPTIST CHURCH IN THIS TOWN FROM 1870 UNTIL 1912,
WHO ENTERED INTO REST AT FFYNNONGROEW, NORTH WALES, APRIL 23 1917.
"BLESSED ARE THE DEAD THAT DIE IN THE LORD.
THEY DO REST AT THEIR LABOURS AND THEIR WORDS DO FOLLOW THEM."
ALSO OF HARRIETT SHEPPARD FIDLER, WIFE OF THE ABOVE,
WHO WENT INTO THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD AUGUST 29TH 1940 -
AGED 85 YEARS.
I SHALL BE SATISFIED, WHEN I AWAKE, WITH THY LIKENESS. PS XVII . 15
On reverse of headstone:
IN AFFECTIONATE REMEMBRANCE OF FLORRIE FIDLER,
DAUGHTER OF WILLIAM FIDLER,
WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE MAY 11 1895 AGED 30 YEARS.
FOR SO HE GIVETH HIS BELOVED SLEEP.
ALSO IN REMEMBRANCE OF OUR BELOVED SON, WILLIAM HERBERT FIDLER,
WHO RESTS AT CALCOED NORTH WALES, DIED FEB 19 1912 AGED 30 YEARS.
INTO THY HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.

Description: "Baptist Minister. " Died on April 23rd 1917 aged 78 years. Buried on April 26th 1917 in plot K-55 The body came from Pen-y-fford, ffywmogroyw [?spelling].  Source:- Ref. 2, Page 77, Number 1405.
