House built on the Market Square. This is now the Post Office (90 Watling Street)

1804

Published songs at the request of Admiral Lord Keith

1809

Organised Jubilee celebrations at which 1200 people were fed in the Market Square(25th October)

1807

Commenced drawings of County churches

1812

Completed drawings of County churches

1813

Article on Barton Seagrave published in the Gentleman's Magazine

1816

Experimented with road making in the neighbourhood of Towcester

1817

1.Article on Brigstock published in May edition of the Gentleman's Magazine

 

2. Wrote the song "of Triumph" to commemorate the battle of Waterloo

 

3. Published portrait of Spencer Percival

1820

Writes to Mr Sturges Bourne with details of his system for coping with poor relief.

1821

Suggested his method of improving roads to Sir Henry Parnell on August 1st.

1824

Twenty paragraphs of his writings appear in "Ambush"

1826

Benefactor of Newton Longueville Church by presenting timber to erect a gallery and on one of he bells is inscribed "Recast by the munificence of Gilbert Flesher of Towcester. The noblest virtue is the public`s good".

1829

Portrait drawn and engraved by John Mills. Dated 21st March

1831

February : Fed upwards of 100 families with soup

1835

He claimed to have distributed 800,000 loyal songs in his life

1836

Sells part of Soap Office Closes, Towcester to the Guardians of Towcester union for the construction of the workhouse.

1845

Died 12th March
