THESE SCREENS WERE ERECTED BY MR & MRS WALTER BAIRSTOW AND FAMILY AS A THANKS OFFERING TO ALMIGHTLY GOD FOR THE LIFE OF GEOFFREY W.I. BAIRSTOW 20TH HUSSARS BEING SPARED AFTER HE WAS SERIOUSLY WOUNDED IN THE RETREAT FROM MONS.SEPTEMBER 1914. DEDICATED ASCENSION DAY 1920
