Flat Roofs – in common with the most adventurous private housing across the UK at the time, flat roofs were specified. For once these were well specified and have posed few problems for the residents, such that more than half of the bungalows still have them. The great advantage that they offered was that the layout of the buildings could be complex without imposing any great cost penalty.
