The General History section will give you an overview of how Woburn Sands came to be where it is and what its called. It used to be known as Hogsty End, as shown on this 1785 map.
The Genealogy Help section has some profiles of local famous people, (such as Benjamin Wiffen, pictured here) and some indexes, census and church register records which may be useful to family historians.
The Picture Trails feature some selections of local postcards, many with their modern day equivelents from the same perspective. Take a trip through Woburn Sands as it used to be or see the village through the eyes of a photographer 100 years ago.
