Educational group visits

We have a range of collection-based visits and special guided tours and talks suitable for students of all ages, to support the National Curriculum and further education.

Visits to Cowper and Newton Museum support studies in History, Citizenship, Literature, Art, Vernacular Architecture, Science and Horticulture.

We can include hands on demonstrations of traditional rural crafts.

Rates:
7-14 years: £3.25 per student (Multi-Collection Visits)
12-19 years: £5 per student (Special Talks & Tours)
Adult: £5 per student (Special Talks & Tours)
The ratio is one (free) adult to every 10 children, additional adult rate is £4.00.

Please book in advance by downloading a form (.pdf, Adobe Reader document) and e-mailing it to the Museum as an attachment (see the 'Contact us' link above).

You can also request a Booking Form by phoning 01234 711516 or e-mailing the Museum (see the 'Contact us' link above) and we will post one to you.

We recommend that a member of staff, preferably the organiser, visits the museum before their school trip. This is free of charge and is by prior arrangement with the House Manager (phone or e-mail us). We will answer any questions you may have and help you to decide which displays best meet your group’s needs.

On request, we can provide a CDROM with full teacher resources for both key stage one and two usable before and during your visit to maximize your learning time.
